Chronic Companion collects only the data you choose to enter. We do not collect any data automatically beyond what is necessary to operate the app.

All your health entries are stored locally on your device using a private on-device database (SQLite via Room). Your health data is never uploaded to our servers or any cloud storage.
Chronic Companion uses AI to generate Pre-Visit reports and Health Insights. When you request an AI-generated report, your anonymised health log entries (dates, mood scores, sleep, energy, and pain levels, and any notes you have written) are sent to Groq Cloud for processing.
Google Play Billing is used to process subscription payments. We do not handle or store any payment card details. All billing is managed entirely by Google Play.
Your data is used solely to provide the features of the app:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app for your personal benefit.

Chronic Companion is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
Your health data is retained on your device for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted. We do not retain any copies of your health data on our servers, as none is ever uploaded.
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms. The app's local database is stored in a private app directory that is not accessible to other applications. We recommend keeping your device locked with a PIN, password, or biometric authentication to protect your health information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
